'Cameras for Schools' is a new project designed to provide primary school aged children with greater access to digital camera equipment for both learning and creative expression.
The concept is simple:
1. Photographers (amateur and professionals) are donate images. 2. Prints are then offered for sale which provide people with good quality images at a fair price. 3. Digital cameras are purchased out of the profits. 4. These are given to schools that wish to join the scheme. 5. Kids then get the chance to experience everything from taking pictures to uploading and getting photographic prints. 6. In time some of these will be donated in their own right and the cycle continues.
