ISO 22000 is an internationally regarded standard that defines the requirements of a food safety management system.  It is the first such standard to be relevant to all organisation throughout the food supply chain, and provides an excellent platform for effective communication between all stages from "farm to fork".

One of the standards main strengths is that it combines elements that are already proven to be key to food, and therefore consumer, safety.  It is of little surprise to most that HACCP, continual improvement and sound management systems are at the core of this standard.
